One thing I like about tutoring is that teaching is a great way to learn and solidify knowledge. Through tutoring I have helped others to learn, and that has helped me to excel in my education. I employ a variety of methods to aid students in learning. For example, in mathematics I like to see the student do a series of problems so that I can learn their process and help them when they get stuck. In the sciences it is often useful to create visual aids such as charts, graphs, or flowcharts to organize unwieldy information. While my background and strongest subjects are science-related, I am available to tutor students in a variety of subject areas, including algebra, pre-calculus, anatomy, biology, organic chemistry, elementary and middle school math and science, immunology, and physiology.I am a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I completed my undergraduate work in integrative physiology. After a year break, I plan to go on to dental school. I love the biological sciences and am particularly interested in how the human body functions. In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities like soccer, biking and hiking as well as reading, DIY projects, and crafts.
